The Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra is proud to invite you to a festive New Year’s concert Featuring Claire Meghnagi (soprano) and Alon Harari (counter-tenor). 
Join us as we dive into the beautiful mesmerizing classics of the Italian Baroque music: Stabat Mater by Vivaldi and Pergolesi alongside Corelli’s Christmas Concerto. Conductor: David Shemer.

Sunday, 13.1.2019 Concert No. 3Glory of the Jewish Baroque

Claire Meghnagi, soprano; Alon Harari, alto; Doron Florentin, tenor; Konstantin Krimmel, baritone
Vocal and instrumental works written for the Jewish communities of Europe in the 18th century. At the center of the program is a cantata “Yona Bein Chagui ha-Sela” (anonymous) performed on the night of Hoshana Rabba in Casale Monferrato in 1732. We will also perform works by Lidarti and Saladin and even arrangements of melodies found in 18th century cantorial books in Amsterdam, some of which will be premiered at the concert.
